Meet our tutor Robyn:
I decided to go to La Salle because of their 5-year Master’s Program in Speech Language Pathology. I also liked that La Salle was away from home for me, and that it was near a major city.
Campus Life:
When you are on La Salle’s campus, you forget that you are even in Philadelphia. You commonly see students sitting outside, studying under the trees (when the weather is nice) … and you can easily get from one side of campus to the other by walking 10 minutes.
In the Classroom:
The professors here are really good at balancing the roles they play: teacher in the classroom and colleague outside the classroom. There are so many professors that I feel comfortable talking to, in relation to school and anything else. It allows student to not be afraid to ask questions, to learn more, and do so in a comfortable way.
Room and Board:
It is very common to live on campus all four years of school. If you follow the path, you start in a freshman dorm, move up to nicer dorms (with AC) as a sophomore, then go to apartments and townhouses as juniors and seniors. It’s actually a great transition for students who are slowly making their way into the real world.
Extra Credit:
If you’re going to be living at La Salle and doing the whole college experience thing, then you need to get a pizza roll (pizza-eggroll). This may seem like a goofy answer, but Chinese food is the go-to late night snack. This is the only area where I can find pizza rolls, and they’re only a dollar!
