Introducing Tutor Delphia!
I am very excited to introduce my new company, Tutor Delphia. I’ve been a part-time tutor for seven years and have always loved tutoring. Tutoring gives me the freedom to connect with my students, tailor the content to their needs and achieve major gains faster than in a classroom setting. I am very excited to be able to become a full-time tutor while continuing to work with the great teachers I met at Rhodes High School. By bringing the best of my colleagues aboard I am able to offer tutoring in all academic subject areas. And by keeping my overhead low, I will be able to offer tutoring by certified teachers at affordable prices.
Currently, all our tutors are current or former teachers at Rhodes High School. Rhodes High School is a high needs school in North West Philadelphia, but boasts a 97% college acceptance rate for its most recent graduating class. It is a school on its way up, where hard lessons have been learned and hard work is required. Our tutors received excellent training at Rhodes and have much to share from what they learned there.
Tutor Delphia has set out to be an integrated community of learners. When I worked at a large national tutoring company I was isolated from my fellow tutors. I was not able to exchange knowledge, tips or resources with other tutors. Tutor Delphia addresses this by encouraging and setting up communication between tutors, hosting regular gatherings of tutors. And since our tutors are dedicated lifelong learners our tutors even receive tutoring from each other!
While my expertise is in tutoring math up to Algebra 2 and helping those with learning differences, the tutors at my company will be able to help you in whatever area you need.
