Fall ushers in new programs and fun
Philadelphia is famous for its street fairs that celebrate and welcome a new season. The Mt. Airy Village Fair is one of the more popular festivals that mark the unofficial start of fall. On September 14th, the family-friendly event hosted a range of activities, food, live music, even a pet parade along Carpenter Lane. Staff from Tutor Delphia were on hand letting people know about our programs and upcoming events. Those who stopped by our booth were introduced to the mechanics of paper airplanes. Hint: Keep those wing tips up. Kids also helped one of our tutors program a robot to navigate across a finish line.
Speaking of robotics, our summer robotics course was such a success that we decided to offer another six-week course starting in late October. The course will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday from October 29th until December 3rd. The course will be broken into two sections; one for older students and one for younger students. Carlos Uribe will teach the older students. You may remember Carlos from our summer robotics course. He is an Electrical Engineer with Lockheed Martin, who specializes in Digital Signal Processing and Control Theory. Tutor Delphia’s own Adam Levin will be working with the younger students. The cost is $180.
